Content Marketing Specialist

Nook Calendar is looking for an experienced Content Marketing Specialist to join our founding team and play a pivotal role in our startup’s success. We’re an Ottawa/Gatineau-based startup that lives by our core values: transparency, empathy, trust and integrity whilst building an elegant calendar app that puts people first.

This is not like other jobs you’ve had before. We’re doing things differently at Nook Calendar, and we are looking for our next team member to help us on our mission of making people feel connected, engaged, and more productive with our people-first calendar app.

Here’s what we don’t want: drama, politics or someone who needs to be micromanaged. We’re a lean team that trusts each other to do the right thing and get the work done. We rely on each other day in and day out…so we’re very picky about who we let it. If you have the right skills (per below) and the right attitude (per above) then we would love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Research, define and understand our ideal customer profile and build a content strategy that attracts and provides value to our target market at every stage of the relationship (including but not limited to blog posts, press releases, social media content, case studies, newsletters, guides)
  • Collaborate with our team (marketing, product and development) and users to develop and publish high-quality, relevant and engaging content across multiple channels
  • Define new and interesting ways to promote Nook Calendar as thought leaders in the calendar and flex work spaces
  • Strategize with our team to execute on specific campaigns that target our customer personas and drive engagement to our content
  • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure that Nook Calendar’s brand and voice is consistent and authentic across all channels
  • Work with our marketing team to optimize existing and new content to support search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Create and manage a content calendar to ensure content is being published regularly and consistently
